Advantages and disadvantages of wet ball mill
- Dec 10, 2018 -

1. The wear of balls and liners is 5 / 7 times that of dry type, because it is wet, so the minimum particle size is less than dry type. In wet type, the condensation of comminuted material is larger than that of dry type,  After grinding with wet ball mill, its product needs to dry, at this time must have the high price dust collector;

2. Because wet ball mil cannot be stopped for a short period of time as dry ball mill, it is unfavorable to require intermittent production in a small amount of production of various varieties, and it also takes a certain amount of time to reach a normal state after starting up again. Usually wet production must run continuously for more than a week, because ball and liner wear, infiltrate iron oxide in wet type, this is unfavorable to the purity of product;

3. Water freezing should be considered in Winter when using wet ball mill.

4. Wet equipment cleaning takes time, labor and other disadvantages.
